Evolutionary Aspect of SGs
Major research on SGs in plants was performed on model plant Arabidopsis thaliana with only few reports based on different plants. The aim of our group is to expand the existing knowledge into crops, with the focus on rice and tomato at the start, but with time we will move the filed into other plant species. Focusing on few proteins being described as key SGs factors, we will try to understand how function and composition of SGs developed over time and space.
