Biography

Kalpana is originally from India with 20 years of experience in administration, academic research, and Microsoft Office. Over the course of her career, she has efficiently managed various roles, including Research Technician/Specialist, Video Production Technician, Photography, Website Editing, Teaching Assistant, Entrepreneurship, and Data Administration. She has developed strong skills in overseeing research projects, providing administrative support, and consistently demonstrating my analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Kalpana has a proven track record in planning, organizing, and prioritizing initiatives to achieve organizational goals. Most recently, she worked as a Research Specialist at KAUST BESE and VCC, where she further honed her research and administrative skills and served as a project coordinator for KBD projects. Kalpana's career has also allowed her to work in international environments, attending various conferences and presentations in abroad.

Driven by a commitment to continuous learning, Kalpana has contributed to multiple publications and is always looking to expand her professional expertise and a collaborative team player. As a Lab Technician in KAUST's Reef Ecology Lab, Kalpana's work primarily involves performing DNA extractions from sharks, rays, turtles, Dolphins but also supported various other lab-related projects like fish processing, NCW project and drone data.

Presently she joined Stress Granule Lab as a Lab Technician and exploring the new environment in plant science group.
