Biography

Giulia earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from the University of Pisa (Pisa, Italy) in 2020 and her Master’s degree in Sustainable Industrial Pharmaceutical Biotechnologies from the University of Siena (Siena, Italy) in 2022. She is currently a PhD student in Monika Chodasiewicz's group, where her research focuses on the identification and characterization of organic and inorganic inhibitors of protein aggregation, with particular emphasis on amylin. Her work integrates metabolomics, in vitro assays, and computational approaches to investigate and contrast diabetes related amyloids.

Research Interests
